What is rubber o ring?

O ring seal  is one kind of cross section for the circular rubber sealing ring.The reason why named type O ringseal is that shape O.It also called o-rings. Began to appear in the middle of the 19th century, when use it as a steam engine cylinder sealing element.

Rubber o ring is divided into static rings and dynamic rings. It is usually installed on the outer or inner circle from the seal section which is rectangular trench. Rubber o ring still play a good shock absorption and sealing in oil, acid, wear, erosion and other environmental chemistry. Therefore, Rubber o rings is most widely used in hydraulic and pneumatic drive system.
